APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Jeffrey Archer weaves real-world events and people into his deeply satisfying story of two ambitious men born on opposite sides of the globe. American blue-blood Kane and Polish enigma Abel are cut from the same cloth, despite their wildly different upbringings in the early 20th century; they grow into men of fierce determination as times change thanks to two world wars and a stock market crash. Archer, a British baron, has a gift for dry, witty prose that makes his heroes’ decades-spanning rivalry that much more compelling.

Just as good
I read this book 20 years ago and is still just as good today. A great, light, enjoyable read.
The best book I have ever read.
A masterpiece that trumps everything that I have ever read and I was a Harry Potter fanatic.
Jeffrey Archer is a genius.
One to remember
Amazing amazing read. Something that you just can't put down. I've had Archer on my parents' bookshelf forever, but I've never picked him up because I thought his writing would be a little inaccessible. Boy was I wrong. This is a beautifully written book, sumptuously woven in a bit of history. Utter perfection.
