Lord Jasper's Angel

I really enjoyed this book with such a smart strong protagonist. Loved how how the characters had a bit more depth than usual and the storyline felt unique!

The story lacked background setup in places so I was left thinking, where are we now and when that got answered I sometimes also thought, hmmm, why are we here now?
The storyline would make big leaps and I often felt left behind.
The characters were charming but I felt like I didn’t get to know them very well as, again, there wasn’t enough back story to guide the reader. Leaving me feeling disconnected from their journey.
This story feels like it’s been condensed too far and would benefit from being slightly longer so that background info and character development could be a bit fuller.

For me, there was no continuance, the story didn’t flow.
It jumped from one situation to another.
Lord Jaspers’ ailment or disability was left up in the air.
The author took far too long to set the stage so to speak.
I made it about a third of the way through, giving it every chance to go somewhere. Sadly it didn’t.........
