Publisher Description
She inherited a farm she'd never heard of, from a great aunt she never knew existed.
Broke, directionless, and fresh out of options, Tilly Lockhart has to live on two thousand acres of farmland for a full year before it's legally hers. One year with a neurotic miniature horse, a cockatoo with boundary issues, a one-eyed dog named Clifford — and a co-owner next door who looks nothing like she expected.
Noah McKenzie is patient, kind, and completely impossible to stop thinking about.
But someone wants Tilly gone. The accidents keep piling up, the threats keep escalating, and a locked chest hidden in the old farmhouse holds a secret someone has been protecting for decades — a secret worth killing for.
What she didn't expect was to find, in the most unlikely place, exactly where she belongs.
Country air. Chaotic animals. Found family. Slow-burn romance. And a mystery buried deep enough to burn the whole place down.
Warm, funny, and impossible to put down

Entertaining
Tilly Lockhart is having a rough time at the moment, life is really getting her down. The sudden inheritance of a Dun-Roamin (I just love the name) farm from her great aunt Matilda intrigues her so she decides to visit, then learns that she has to stay there for 12 months to inherit.
It would seem that no one is happy about her inheritance an unfortunately the people are unwelcoming. Although having the hot co-owner of the farm Noah in her life is a bonus. As Tilly uncovers secrets and lies, her life will be threatened, the danger real. However all it does is strengthen Tilly’s resolve to stand strong.I really loved the development of the relationship between Tilly and Noah, I fell for him hard and fast and the banter between them is witty.
What happens when everything that Tilly has grown to love is threatened? Will she risk everything, including her life?
This is a book that I found thoroughly entertaining. Beth Prentice has written a story that will draw you in and keep you captivated from the first to the last chapter.
