Shot Taker

A great second book in this trilogy. I loved the connection between Clay and Nova. These characters experience hurdles in their relationship but forgive each other. Nova and Clay bring out the best in each other. Clay builds on Nova’s confidence with her art and helping her to appreciate her self worth and to negotiate with the owner of the Kodiaks on royalties and merchandising profits from her mural. Nova shows Clay there is more to life than Basketball - love, family and good friends.

Found part 2 a bit boring, no where near as good as book 1. You could probably just read book 1 and 3 and know what's happening

Fans of her Enemies Trilogy will delight as I did, in the mention of beloved characters as they appearance in this book. The mere presence of these characters, including the exciting moment when Little Queen’s DJing is mentioned at Harrison King's club, adds an extra layer of excitement and nostalgia; I love Piper’s ability to seamlessly weave her characters' stories together, creating a universe that feels rich and interconnected.
