The fourth book in the series and is Nolan Wood and Shelby Drake’s story. This was a fun quick story which flowed well and was entertaining.
The books in this series can easily be read as stand alone, but since they are not that long and a quick and easy read I would recommend you one click them all.
What happens when a one night stand has the potential to become so much more? Nolan is a local DJ who is doing advertising on his radio show for The Fix on Sixth and their current Man of the Month competition; it is also his local haunt.
Shelby Drake attends a bachelorette party and finds herself attracted to the man with the grey eyes (Nolan) However, Shelby is a quiet woman who does not make waves. She knows what she wants and has her life planned out, even dating a man her parents set her up with.
Imagine her shock when she decides to let her inner vixen out to play and Nolan is just the man to have some fun with.
Shelby does not expect it to be more than a one night stand although when she wakes in the morning she is disappointed that he has gone. Imagine her horror when her friends who were at the party, tune in to his radio program and she hears him talking about his night of passion.
Initially horrified, Nolan finally gets her to listen to his apology. For Nolan he is shocked to realise that he actually wants more than a one night stand, however he has to convince Shelby to take a giant leap of faith and come out of her comfort zone.

I loved the characters of Noland Shelby both separately and together. And I cannot wait to see who is Mr May.

Start Me Up is book 4 in the Man of the Month Series and like all previous books you could read this as a stand-alone, this is Nolan Wood and Shelby Drake’s story.
Shelby wants it all, marriage, kids the whole nine yards and the man she has just started dating ticks all the boxes except the most important one he doesn’t make her feel alive, he doesn’t excite her and he doesn’t make her heart flutter.....During a friends bachelorette party she meets Nolan a morning DJ on the local radio station and the attraction is instant and the chemistry is sizzling but Nolan is only about excitement he doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t commit. One night of passion has Nolan wanting more but can he convince Shelby he is ready to commit, he does the one thing he is good at every morning on “Mornings with Wood” he uses sexual innuendos to woo her but is it enough I guess you will need to read the book to find out how this love story ends.
I loved Nolan he is funny, hot and very loveable and what can I say about the sweet sassy Shelby apart from these two are perfect for each other. This series is fast becoming one of my favourite reads looking forward to what May has to offer.
