Customer Reviews
Brilliant, just brilliant!
The twist at the end of this story is a doozy! I can’t believe Eddie and his team have been hoodwinked. Love the new character, Gabriel Lake, I hope he pops up in future books. The storyline is great; the characters are great; the writing is great. Just read it.
More of the same
Author
Irish lawyer turned novelist. This is latest in a series based around a New York con man turned defence lawyer. No jokes please. Eddie has heard them all, as have I.
Precis
A super-wealthy (hedge fund guy) serial killer is on loose in the Big Apple. The cops and the FBI can’t find him. They arrest his wife as accomplice. She pleads semi-innocent, i.e. she thought there was something dodgy going on but wasn’t sure. Her corporate lawyer dumps the case on Eddie two days before the trial because his client deserves a better defence than he can gave her, blah, blah, blah. Things don’t go smoothly for our boy and his familiar (assuming you’ve read volumes 1-6) band of irregulars. Mr Cavanagh wouldn’t have anything to write about otherwise.
Prose
Mr C’s crisp, well paced genre prose gets better with each outing, which helps make up for his increasingly implausible plots.
Bottom line
More of the same. Netflix or Amazon? Wait and see.
