Publisher Description
Classic Connelly #1: The book that introduced the now legendary Harry Bosch to the world.
LAPD detective Harry Bosch gets a call-out: a body has been found in a drainage tunnel off Mulholland Drive in Hollywood, and it looks like a routine drug overdose. But one new puncture wound amid the scars of old tracks leaves Bosch with questions.
Worse, Harry Bosch recognises the victim. Billy Meadows was a fellow 'tunnel rat' in Vietnam, running against the Viet Cong and the fear they all used to call the Black Echo. Haunted by the memory of once failing his comrade, Bosch is determined to avoid doing so again.
This time justice is personal.

The Black Echo
Well I’ve finished the first Bosch story. I’ve seen most of the TV episodes & thought it time to go to the source. Loved the book even though some of the outcomes became obvious. Perhaps the sign of a good author is to take the reader along on the journey & letting them work it out for themselves. I thoroughly recommend this book
Good story line - bad writing :(
A good story line however not an interesting style of writing... Doesn't capture you... Such a shame coz the story line was good...
