Not quite there.
I have ready many of Kendall’s books. She is one of my favourite authors.
I just felt this story fell a little short. It didn’t have the depth and character development of her normal stories. The issues the characters faced seemed very surface level and there was not much detail regarding their progression through these issues. Normally I read one of Kendall’s books and I HAVE to read the entire series. Sadly I won’t be purchasing the other books in this one. I just don’t feel this story gave me enough to become invested in the other characters.

After reading the prequel One with the Rebel I was excited to read this one and let me just say I wasn’t disappointed, this book was everything I expected and so much more. The Rebel is the continuation of Eden Wynn and Holt Rossi’s story. Eden has taken over the ownership of her beloved grandfathers Boston Titans Hockey Team but not everyone is happy to have a woman in charge and after receiving threats her management team decide she needs security to keep her safe. A meeting with the head of the security company has her coming face to face once again with Holt, the man she walked away from all those years ago. Holt is determined to keep Eden safe and is sure the feelings they once had will not be an issue but when you are in close contact with someone who haunts your dreams, a relationships as always going to be on the cards but that also means complications are bound to arise especially when Eden’s ex S now playing for the team...... I fell hard and fast for Holt, he stole a piece of my heart as I got to know the man who has succeeded against all odds. Eden is the woman we all want in our corner so together they become the couple you can’t help loving and will always relate too. This love story is about friendship and loyalty and I’m so excited for the next book in this wonderful series.
