PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
As seamless and lyrical as a song from the lute-playing adventurer and arcanist Kvothe, this mesmerizing sequel to Rothfuss's 2007's debut, The Name of the Wind, is a towering work of fantasy. As Kvothe, now the unassuming keeper of the Waystone Inn, continues to share his astounding life story a history that includes saving an influential lord from treachery, defeating a band of dangerous bandits, and surviving an encounter with a legendary Fae seductress he also offers glimpses into his life's true pursuit: figuring out how to vanquish the mythical Chandrian, a group of seven godlike destroyers that brutally murdered his family and left him an orphan. But while Kvothe recalls the events of his past, his future is conspiring just outside the inn's doors. This breathtakingly epic story is heartrending in its intimacy and masterful in its narrative essence, and will leave fans waiting on tenterhooks for the final installment.

Wise Man's Fear
Awesome! Now the long wait until the next one.
The Wise Mans Fear
My mom use to always say that those that swear have a limited vocabulary on the subject so let me just say that's what "The Wise Man Fear" makes me; a loss of words to describe its greatness!!!!! :) Congrats to Pattrick Rothfuss he has done an amazing job :)
hard to believe but better than the first?!?
I own copies of both the first and second books in both hardback and in ibooks as a file nd have spent around a hundred dollars on them and i dont regret it one bit. The second book is better than the first possibly due to the fact [[SPOILERS]] that for the mostpart of the story he is less based around the university and goes around to vintas and learns how to fight with the adem [[SPOILERS]] it is my favourite book ever andi would rate it for about ages 13+ but dont let that stop kids from reading it it is challenging but you wont put it down untill you finished and then re-read it. WELL WORTH ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY! BUY IT! IT'S GREAT! SPECTACULAR! BEUTIFULL! cant wait till i can pre-order it.
