VICTORY COMES AT A PRICE . . .
Mare learned this all too well when Cal's betrayal nearly destroyed her. Now determined to protect her heart - and secure her freedom - she resolves to overthrow the kingdom of Norta once and for all . . . starting with the crown on Maven's head.
But no battle is won alone, and before the Reds may rise as one, Mare must side with the boy who broke her heart in order to defeat the boy who almost broke her.
Cal's powerful Silver allies, alongside Mare and the Scarlet Guard, prove a formidable force. But Maven is driven by an obsession so deep he will stop at nothing to have Mare as his own again, even if it means demolishing everything - and everyone - in his path.

Finally the end!
The book was more about Mares’ love relationship with Cal than the thrown. The ending was both satisfying and not at the same time. But the filler book broken thorn fills the loose ends which is great.
WHY DOES IT HAVE TO END
I have been reading this series for a while and didnt want it to end! But it was a really good ending for a great series and I love how Mare found her ending
Brilliant
It took some time to get into this book, trying to remember who was who and I just struggled with it for a while. However suddenly it all fell into place and off it went! There are the odd paragraphs that go on and on describing things that bored me occasionally but overall I loved the characters and the story line.
It certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat and the author has an amazing imagination.
As much As I understand the ending I thought that maybe the last chapter could've been the week that followed the main event (don't won't to give anything away) and the epilogue could've covered the 3-6 months later where the aftermath was covered in every way....
Maybe a short story could wrap this up?
What do you think Victoria?
