Timing is everything
I loved this book. It shows the ups and downs of life. Jax and Haley had to go their separate ways. The timing was not right. Jax had to obtain custody of his daughter, Annie and try to build a normal life away from music. Haley inherited the Wicked record label from her estranged father, Shannon Cross, continued doing her coding projects, sold a portion of the Wicked and took on the high school musical development project as a full time gig.
It is Haley who convinces Jax and the band to come back and record their final album. This project is life changing for Jax, the band and Haley. The record goes gold and then platinum. The executives at Wicked cut the high school musical development project despite Haley delivering her promise to get Jax and the band to write and release the final album as part of their contract.
Haley contacts the board of Wicked and receives their support to get the intellectual property for the songs for recorded by the high school students with assistance from her lawyer and resigns from the Wicked record label.
Haley and Jax are different people now and the timing is perfect for them to finally admit they are in love with each other. Finally, a happy ending for Jax and Haley!
