What a great story! Loved it.
Colonel Mendez HOT
Exciting, suspenseful, tough and sexy. Lynn Raye Harris has another 5 star book with Hot Valor. Lynn has bought us the story of Colonel Mendez the military black ops commander of Hostile Operations Team.
Colonel Mendez was told twenty one years ago the woman he loved died, now he's a man by the book and all that's important is his team.
Now he's accused of using his team to assassinate a foreign official, he out to prove his innocence.
Then we have Russian spy "Kat" Ekaterina Kasharin its uncanny how she looks like the woman Mendez loved twenty one years ago. Kat is here to help Mendez out on him mission to prove his innocence if he wants it or not.
Hot, super hot, mega hot.
Hot, super hot, mega hot. How else do you describe a buff Army colonel on a mission to clear his name and find the truth behind what happened 21 years ago?
This book had a lot of history for Viper that we had been missing. Why he didn't do one-night stands, why he didn't do relationships, why HOT was under so much scrutiny.
This book was the culmination of several stories that started in Hot Ice. The fact that all of the stories were tied together in this book as to why things were done and by whom was a bonus. I loved seeing the interaction between Viper and Ghost. We haven't had much dealings with Ghost and it was good to see him play a dominant role in this book. And, of course, how can you forget Ian Black. Always on the spot when needed.
So what can you expect in this book? A presumed death, a missing black-ops team, a former Russian spy working with an American to shut down a Russian bad guy, a corrupt politician, a wedding and a baby. That's not enough? Well you also have plenty of hand to hand combat and emotional revelations and let's not forget the bullets whizzing past.
It was so nice to see an older character who's been around throughout the series finally get his happily ever after. Usually these characters are forgotten over time but Ms. Harris did Mendez justice. Well done!!!!
