Unsatisfied: A novelette

Finley has everything a man could want. A wife he loves, children he'd die for, and a job that puts his particular set of skills to use without the bureaucratic misery of the military he left behind. By every measure, his life is exactly as it should be.

So why can't he shake the feeling that something is missing?

His therapist has a word for it. Unsatisfied. Finley hates that she's right.

But when a quiet morning at his children's school turns into something no amount of therapy could have prepared him for, Finley finds himself doing the only thing he's ever truly been good at — standing between the innocent and the unthinkable.

Unsatisfied is a taut, darkly funny and viscerally intense thriller about the man who exists in the space between loving father and extraordinarily dangerous professional — and what happens when those two worlds collide without warning.

A novelette of approximately 11,000 words.
