Very good
Love the story and the mystery of the space wolfs, starts a little slow but picks up! When reading this don’t expect much story to progress with the HH. This is primarily space wolf lore but really good lore.
SO SO
This an thousand sons paint opposing images of the space wolves/ thousand suns. It was painful to read at times.
Couldn’t Finish
Dan Abnett has a way of over explaining and using sooooo many metaphors that the initial intention is completely lost.
I got 3 whole chapters in before his writing style became utterly unbearable. Between the jumping back and forth from past and current as if they were happening simultaneously and all the superfluous content, I just couldn’t even follow what was happening. Reading this (and really all Dan Abnett books) is like reading the Silmarillion.
The writing here is as if Dan Abnett is a school child trying to stretch his essay to fulfill the minimum word requirement.
Over explanation and paragraphs worth of metaphors to show the reader the smallest of details completely slows and bores the reading.
This was terrible waste of money and shame on Black Library for continuing to pay Dan Abnett to write this garbage.
