All In
There is not a book written by this author that I have not been “All In” for. Let’s start there. 5 stars will never do justice to the Walker series. When you open the book and settle in you know that you are home. That is what the Walkers are to Nicole Nation fans. Nicole weaves this ever expanding brood of cousins, brothers, lovers all into every new book written. Meeting Brantley and Reese is another branch on the Walker sexy tree. Brantley Walker ex-seal was wounded, recovered but no longer able to be the seal he always thought he would die being. The sparseness of his home surroundings totally tells how alone he is. He meets Reese who runs the demolition for Travis and together they start on a road of angst and firsts. Reese never knew he could be so attracted to a man...but Brantley is his match. So the story unwinds capturing you from the beginning to the end. Throw in the kidnapping of Kate Walker...and Brantley & Reese go find her. It is a great story. The sex and relationship between them is not rushed and is so real you actually are walking it with them. That is what I love about Nicole. She never does a shallow character...they are well developed, tied realistically into all the books that have come before and it is a progression in family, everyday life and struggles that they work through to their end. So there will be more...yes we always want more “Walkers”. I have no idea how she came to bring this family to life but it the best series bar none.
