No one denies the beast.
I am a Warlord. A beast.
An assassin for the Intelligence Core.
Even so, I've been sent to Earth for a simple mission: Find a mate.
I hold no hope. Who would want me? I'm scarred... inside and out.
But one look at the human beauty and there is no question, she’s mine.
When she is taken from me, I will use all my training to save her from my enemies.
Nothing on Earth—or any planet in the universe—will keep me from her.
She. Is. Mine.

A Fairytale Ending
Quinn and Bahre meet because he smells her in the stairwell (Wild!). Everything is going swimmingly and then BAM! I loved how confident yet vulnerable Quinn was about starting a relationship with Bahre, and how brave she was in space. And, of course, Bahre a teddy bear this Quinn and a beast to anyone who threatens her. It’s a entertaining story that also furthers the series storyline arc in a surprising way. I’d definitely recommend - it’s a great read!
The right match
I really enjoyed following this couple as they dealt with a with blend of human and alien situations An alien version of “the bachelor”” was an interesting starting point where Quinn and Bahre cross paths. When elements from Bahre’s past push the story in another sci fi direction I couldn’t put the book down until I saw the HEA ending. The optional bonus epilogue was a nice touch showing a bit of how their lives turned out afterwards. If you like strong love struck protective guys doing the right thing for the right reasons, this story will be right up your alley.

Loved it!
I loved it. This off-shoot of the Interstellar Brides series, centered on Earth, have included my favourite books by Ms. Goodwin and Beauty and the Beast is near the top of that list. I loved Quinn - she was strong, resilient and determined - and I adored Warlord Bahre who saw her strengths and honoured her for who she was. I loved that they belonged to each other and that their possessiveness went both ways! There was, of course, action and lots of romance and a hopeful hint that maybe another worthy Warlord would find his Bride soon (Tane?).
