Publisher Description
It’s strictly business…until temptation takes over.
“We play by my rules now.”
—Kit, the new boss
Who does Kit Walker think he is? The trust-fund heir waltzes in and wants to boss me around, but if I catch him misbehaving, his father will yank his inheritance. Stalemate, right? Not when our chemistry is irresistible! Ironically, we run the top dating app. Could this be my “perfect match” or the perfect scandal?
—Alexandra, the one in charge

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
It's hard to make a boss/employee romance feel plausible and comfortable in the #MeToo era, and Evans (the Real series) doesn't quite pull it off. Alexandra Croft is a workaholic go-getter who serves as the design team's backbone at dating app Cupid's Arrow. When Kit Walker, the playboy son of her much-beloved boss, Alistair, comes in to take Alistair's place, Alex is expected to report to Alistair on Kit's progress. This puts Alex and Kit at odds, but soon their intense sexual chemistry brings them together. The book's erotic moments are a high point, providing the tantalizing pleasure and heat Evans's readers know and love. However, the story offers little in the way of originality, treading into an area that feels at best outdated and at worst potentially offensive. The number of times Alex considers that she might lose her job if she doesn't make nice with Kit especially during a sexually charged scene in Alex's office will leave some readers wondering whether she should be talking to HR, while those who are looking for power differential fantasy thrills will find those notes of realism distracting. Other than a few pages worth dog-earing because of the hot and sometimes funny sex scenes, there's not much to recommend this quick tale on.

3.75 stars--sassy and energetic characters
3.75 stars--BOSS by Katy Evans is a contemporary, adult, stand alone , erotic romance storyline focusing on twenty-seven year old heir Kit Walker , and twenty-four year old, Cupid’s Arrow dating app team leader Alexandra Croft.
Told from first person perspective (Alexandra Croft) BOSS follows in the wake of new leadership at Cupid’s Arrow Dating App IT firm when owner and CEO Alastair Walker hands over the reigns to his prodigal son Kit Walker. A party boy and playboy, Kit knows nothing about the business but when Alexandra Croft is assigned to watch over and guide the new entrepreneur, sparks fly and things said in anger and a need to prove who’s in control, push everyone’s proverbial buttons. What ensues is the forbidden relationship and office romance between Kit and Alexandra, and the fall-out as office gossip and jealousy find our heroine on the outside looking in.
The relationship between Kit and Alexandra is one of immediate attraction but an attraction tempered by a shift in power, hurt feelings, and a need to prove one’s worthiness and power. Private dinners and business meetings lead to something more that will eventually reveal someone else is willing to push Alexandra and Kit, out of their jobs. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to CEO Alastair Walker, and his son William; design team members Ellie Mason, Tim, Angela, and head of the tech department Ben.
BOSS is a story of forbidden romance, of power, of control, of betrayal and redemption. The premise is engaging; the romance is captivating; the characters are sassy, energetic and bold.
Sexy Office Romance!
This is a sexy office romance, melted with an instant attraction/love and an enemies to lovers story. The story is fast-paced, romantic, sweet, and sexy. Kit and Alexandra share a really strong, and hot chemistry. I love the Epilogue! The other characters are also really interesting, and now I can't wait for the next story! I would love to listen to this story in audiobook, because of the British accent! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Fantastic read!!!
I’ve been in a reading funk for a bit now, nothing was really grabbing me, I wasn’t getting that amazing feeling you get when you find a book you can’t put down, until BOSS!!
Once again Katy Evans has created an amazing story.
I love Kit and Alex, I love the chemistry, the bickering, the lust and the chase.
This story will hook you from the page one, its amusing, romantic, fun, frustrating (in the best way).
The second I was done I wanted to read it all over again.
This is on my top 10 reads for 2019
