Teacher Maddie Stewart volunteers to run the family ice cream stand at the Jersey Shore, for what she hopes to be the last summer. She encounters an unexpected problem and has no choice but to hire an ex-boyfriend she dumped without warning on prom night.

Contractor Tony Lombardi agrees to do a favor for his cousin and accepts a small construction job that involves a former flame. Not one to show his feelings, he takes on the work without acknowledging the past.

The tight quarters of the ice cream booth increase the pair’s uneasiness more than they expect. Can their past be repaired as easily as the rotted-out floor?
