Real hockey, good writing
Melanie Ting knows hockey and the Vice series shows it. The characters all feel real, like people you could find hanging out at a Giants game. While the background is full of real restaurants, companies, and people under the pseudonyms, she has changed just enough that they take on their own lives.
You don’t have to read the series in order, but you’ll be glad you did.
