"Going down Easy" by Carly Phillips
Sweet story. Well worth the read.
A romance story involving mental health
This is not just a romance story involving mental health; really, it’s an informational book about bi-polar, depression, ADHD and anxiety as well as those tasked with taking care of individuals with such disorders. It’s about the right and wrong way to care for them. Lexie had a mother with debilitating depression and a sister with no-polar. Between the two of them she has not been able to hold down a job or relationships due to the unstable nature of caring for them. Kade is an individual with ADHD and anxiety who hasn’t been able to keep a personal assistant or a romantic relationship. When her family’s disorders come to head with a previous accusation against him and it impacting the direction of his company, they can hardly seem to stay together. False accusations of date rape and its impact is a further issue tackled. I have to say that I’m happy for how it all came together and gave an HEA, but can’t say that the drama coupled with mental health lessons were my cup of tea.
