Long Journey Home

LONG JOURNEY HOME begins the saga of Gideon Taylor, a federal surgeon during the Civil War. In this first novel Gideon begins his journey home to Ohio after clearing patients from Asylum Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee, at war's end. Brutally attacked by some backwoodsmen outside the small Southern town of Braxton Springs, Gideon ends up on the doorstep of Dr. Nathan Lawrence where he begins to heal in many ways.
