Not all shadows are monsters.
And some were never meant to die.
Wendy is on a quest for vengeance after Hook kidnapped the lost boys and destroyed their school. Stuck as a shadow, Peter’s body is weakening because each time he dies and regenerates, may be his last. Meanwhile, Wendy is running out of time to track down Hook, save the boys, and rescue Peter before he’s lost as shadow forever.
But a surprising clue leads to the mysterious island where it all began.
Right when they believe the nightmare is over, they find the game is just beginning.
A great finale
I’ve love every book of Chanda’s that I’ve had the opportunity to read. Her characters are relatable and the story sucks you in and won’t let you go until the last page. If this is your first series of hers, try any of the others and find yourself equally pulled in to the amazing worlds she creates.
Lost Shadow is the third and final chapter in the Peter Pan-esque trilogy. It opens with Wendy and the remaining lost boys escaping with Tink and the shadow of Peter. They’re desperate to find a safe haven after Hook and the Red Skulls destroyed Neverwood. When some old friends, and foes, reappear Wendy and Peter find themselves back the one place they never wanted to be again...Neverland.
This book did an amazing job at tying up so many of the loose ends that the second book left. Each of the characters truly comes into themselves and their abilities. Most importantly, to me mostly, there’s a happy(ish) ending for Jax and his Alice.
I’m left with the feeling we maybe haven’t seen the last of these characters or Neverland just yet 😉
