A story of love
EJ and Brianna are professionals in the entertainment industry who are compelled by their record label to remain married after a drunken marriage commitment.
Beautifully and poignantly developed, it is the love story we all want. Told initially from the male point of view, it is uniquely portrayed. The author focusses on the relationship development rather than gratuitous sex scenes. The emphasis is on positive values and commitment. Until the end when we are left with a cliff-hanger of a quandary over what to do to stay together when faced with what looks to be the greatest challenge of their professional lives and marriage. I rated it a 4 out of 5 knowing that I wanted it to be a 4.5 / 5 due to typos which took away from the reading enjoyment, how quickly the ending came together and that it was first of a 3-part series which I was not aware of when I started reading.

I think this story has stolen my words, because I’m not even sure how to say what I feel about this book. It’s sweet and spicy with a bit of angst and a dose of family drama, both of which I suspect are going to play out more as we get further into the series. If this book were a season, I’d call it ‘spring’. There are still storms that rip through and create chaos, but it’s all about new beginnings, a fresh start, new life. This story felt very focused on EJ and Bri falling in love after their whirlwind night in Vegas, and the hurdles the need to overcome in order to blend their lives and careers, keeping the whole tone of the book fairly light and sweet. Take note that their story does not finish here, this book has one heck of a cliff-hanger ending that’s a guarantee I’m coming back for the next one. I’m desperate to find out how the author is going to get them through this.

The title says it all! This couple is very strong, both famous and successful in the music industry, they face incredible challenges. But together EJ and Brianna plan to overcome them because there’s no one on this planet that will tear them apart from each other no matter how hard they try. This is a 3 book series, very powerful and addictive. A definite read!
