The Moonshine Task Force Series is perfect for fans of Samantha Christy, Lucy Score, and Laura Pavlov
The sexy, single dad of the MTF finally gets his turn...
Mason “Menace” Harrison
“Single and ready to mingle.”
Those are the words above every picture of almost every female that strikes my interest on this dating app my son talked me into getting. After being a single dad for seventeen years, I’m ready to spread my wings, just not with most of the co-eds who keep hitting on me and calling me daddy.
Now that Caleb’s in his senior year of high school, I feel like I can let go of the iron-clad control I’ve had on myself without his mom in our lives. I’ve enjoyed raising him, love the relationship we have, and while he went off the rails for a bit last year, we’re now closer than we’ve ever been. He’s got a full ride to the University of Alabama, and I’ve settled into my spot with the Moonshine Task Force.
But my son isn’t a substitute for a woman in my bed, he isn’t someone I can share my dreams with, and he’s not the person I want to grow old with by my side. I’m not sure who that is yet, but the smokin’ hot lady going by the name BeachBum83 is definitely holding every single bit of my interest.
Karina Holland
“Looking for a good time, maybe more…”
Those were the lamest words I ever typed in my life, but it was the best I had for the dating app my friend Violet talked me into joining. I didn’t have any high hopes for myself. As a high school teacher, I’m sick of pervy dads hitting on me when they come in to discuss their child’s lack of motivation to read the classics and apply themselves.
Until the day Mason Harrison walks into my classroom. I had no idea Caleb’s dad was the man I met off that dating app who showed me how flexible I really am in the back of his Jeep. Within minutes of him speaking to my class, he proved the sparks weren’t one-time only when we christened my desk.
Mason and Caleb? They touch a part of my heart that no one’s ever touched before, and when a threat from the past shows up, I prove just how tough I really am.

I liked the story overall. I generally like this author’s writing style but was less impressed with it than others she has written. The story was sweet, happily ever after and had a bit of excitement which are all positive elements. The story is character-driven, however, and while I liked the characters Menace and his son, Caleb, there were several significant side characters referenced that there was little emotional connection with. I have a feeling if I had read previous books in the series the nostalgia would have made me connect with them more. Also, while Karina was nice, I just didn’t connect with her from the onset before they moved on with their relationship so that it made the relationship feel shallow. I mean, who ghosts a fabulous man after a fabulous date then runs away and hides making him feel terrible and confused, particularly when it took a lot of courage to make a concerted step out into the dating world after 18 years… does that seem like a person mature enough to be in a relationship or a recipe for success? Mature people communicate. When she repeats ‘who would have thought when I moved here that this would happen’ it grated. Maybe I was looking for more of a deep connection than a quick read and this says more about me than the character or the story and it wouldn’t be an issue for other readers. Nevertheless, the story moves on, has a burst of excitement and is well written as can be expected from this author. I think perhaps I was disappointed because we got off on the wrong foot. When the story comes to its wonderful, natural conclusion with minimal dramatization, the heroine has shown herself to be mature and reliable to her friends and family and the novel ends happily ever after then I am happy for them.

Wonderful, profound and sensitive all in one
4 1/2 Stars!
Mason became a dad when he was 16 and by the time he was 18, he was a single father to Caleb. Now that Caleb is in his senior year of high school and going off to college next year, Mason decides that it's time to seriously look for someone to spend the rest of his life with, so he signs up for online dating. He goes on a date with Karina and they end up making out in the back seat of Mason's Jeep. Mason though the date went very well and in the days following, he tries to phone and text her, but she doesn't respond. So imagine his surprise when he shows up in Caleb's class to speak to the students about being on the Moonshine Task Force ... oh, did I mention that Karina is Caleb's teacher? Karina can't resist Mason any longer, so the two begin a hot affair.
This book is just so dreamy ... Mason just seems like the perfect guy. The banter between Mason and Katrina is just cute and you can just feel the chemistry between them. And then there's Caleb ... a total gentleman for being so young. I can't wait for his story in the next book. This book is a great addition to the series.
I graciously received an ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
