Karre has lived hundreds of lives, but now she’s stuck on Starria as herself. Vidar has been loyal to the king and just hopes for a good bride. Instead, he gets bold, brash strong-willed and ever-changeable Karre. I loved the chemistry these two had - woowee do they burn up the sheets! The ending is dramatic and satisfying and just perfect. An exciting end to and exciting series.
Marvelous ending to series
I love the way this series ends except I would have liked just a little bit more so there could be a reunion of all the ladies. I enjoyed the idea that all four of these books are all set during the same time period and that you get to see some of the same events from different peoples perspective. Each of these books is about a different couple and because of the war the couples go off to different places. I think it works well that we only come so close to the war front with this book because all of the bit of information that we have been fed by Michelle M. Pillow in the previous books come together to solve the big problem this earth plane has.
I really enjoy reading the fun ways that Ms. Pillow has of flipping conventional ideas on their heads…..even when she was the one who set those conventions herself and that is very evident in this book. Our heroine Karre is worldly wise and let’s just say experienced (both in b3d and out) and our hero, Vidar although a big strong macho guy is rather let’s just say is not. There are so many lovely moments in all of these stories and they all add up to one of my favorite series I have read this year. I recommend that you read them in order.
