APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The first book in Robert Jordan’s 14-volume Wheel of Time saga is an enthralling epic fantasy that’s as magical as the books of Tolkien and George R.R. Martin. Rand, Perrin, and Mat—young men from a remote farming village—are preoccupied with local girls and scolding elders. But when their village comes under attack from an undead commander’s vicious army, the friends are thrust into a life-changing quest to confront a formidable evil force. Filled with sword-and-sorcery thrills and imaginative world-building, The Eye of the World turns a coming-of-age story into the start of a high-fantasy masterpiece.

Book to TV
Love the book. Love all the books. My fourth time now reading the series. Such a disgrace how Amazon has butchered the wheel of time series. They could have learnt from MTV shannara chronicles, but nope. If you can’t keep to the story, you should not bother with making it into a show. Everyone I know who has not read the books but watched the show, can’t finish the series. Too cofusing.
Unreal story telling ability.
I have always loved the lord of the rings series, the hobbit, books my Brian Jacques, and the Narnia series... but this was something different and fresh all together. Robert Jordan has created a wonderful new world full of excitement and wonder. I am very excited to read the next book and the rest of this series.
Great fantasy read!
It's hard for me to find time to read for pleasure, but I kept reading this book every chance I got. At first, the story seems very reminiscent of Tolkien's fellowship, with an unlikely hero being dragged into a journey when he'd rather stay at home, with a wizard-like companion to guide him on his way and the fate of the world at stake. But the story distinguishes with a unique world and intrigue, holding back information and keeping the reader turning pages just to learn how the protagonist will fit into it all. Getting to know the characters is a lot of fun, too. I started book 2 the moment I finished this one, and another dozen or so in the series will keep me busy for a while to come. I also highly recommend the audiobook. The narrator does a great job bringing the story to life.
