Peru is truly a fascinating destination, full of extremes. It offers scorching hot places, including deserts and tropical beaches. It boasts snow-capped, impressive and extremely photogenic mountains, rising over 6,000 meters above sea level and world’s deepest canyons. It has the largest, navigable mountain lake in the world. It sports picturesque colonial towns, surrounded by massive volcanoes. It provides a staggering collection of remains of pre-Columbian civilisations some of which built pyramids. The country could occupy a demanding traveller for a couple of months, if they wanted to see everything properly.


This books describes the author’s personal and unique experiences whilst his trip to Peru in September 2004. It contains over 130 original photographs taken during the trip, practical information and description of places to stay, drink, eat, party and explore. It covers the following places: Lima, Cusco, Pisac, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Sillustani, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Nazca Lines, Huaraz, Cordillera Blanca, Trujillo, Huanchaco and Chan Chan.
