Teddy Crutcher has won Teacher of the Year at the prestigious Belmont Academy. Everyone thinks he's brilliant. Only you know the truth.

They all smile when he tells us his wife couldn't be more proud - though if they stopped to think, they would realise no-one has seen her in a while.

They're impressed when he doesn't let anything distract him - even the tragic death of a school parent. Even when the whispers start, saying it was murder.

You're sure Teddy is hiding something about what happened that day. You're sure you can prove it.

You just didn't stop to think that when it comes to catching a killer, there's no place more dangerous than just one step behind...

Well what a dark and crazy ride! Very engrossing to the point I cannot remember how I finished the book. I initially thought that this was going to be a run of the mill story but, this was on a whole other level.

Based at the prestigious Belmont Academy School for the privileged with parents with money. Everyone is expected to succeed and results are everything. Parents even try to influence the teachers re their kids grades.

Enter in new teacher English teacher Teddy Crutcher, he wins a Teacher of the Year award and to him the plaque is like having the Crown Jewels. He also secretly hates the privileged entitled students and gets to work by under marking the ones he thinks are smug and all sorts. His mind is twisted and he feels he is what is needed to save the students and teach them life lessons.

One day a parent at one of their school events dies. Who is the culprit? Someone is a murderer, but who? Then things get twisty and darker, where will it end? Sinister, dark and addictive.
