Ready or Scot . . .

Globetrotter Addie Macrae always follows her wanderlust. As a travel consultant, she jet sets around the world - anywhere but Scotland. But when she's sent on assignment to help a struggling family-run tour company in the Highlands - and save her own job - Addie packs away her emotional baggage and turns on the professional charm.

Rugged as the land he loves, Logan Sutherland's greatest joy is sharing the beauty of Scotland's hidden gems . . . even if it means a wee bit of red ink on the company's bottom line. The last thing Logan wants is some American 'expert' pushing tourist traps and perpetuating myths about the Loch Ness Monster - especially when Addie never leaves her desk to experience the country for herself.

As they wage an office war, Logan discovers Addie's secret connection to Scotland: a handful of faded Polaroids of her late mother. Hoping for a truce, he creates a private tour to the places in the pictures to help Addie find closure and appreciate the enchantment in less-traveled destinations, never expecting the off-limits attraction sparking between them. But Addie's contract is almost up, and magic won't pay the bills. They can't afford distractions, but how can Addie do her job if she hasn't explored all Scotland - and Logan - have to offer?

*Letting Go*

Firstly the book cover made me smile, this was a romcom with hidden secrets, great chemistry and it showed how things can move forward when people work together and stop fighting each other

We have American travel consultant Addie who travels around the globe and tries to help failing tour companies to grow their businesses. In this case she is in Scotland but this trip holds personal ties for her. She has a stilted relationship with father as they both find it hard to move forward or talk to each other since the loss of her mother. Her father cannot speak about her mother, his wife without being upset. Over time they have both bottled things up. Sadly that has continued in all her relationships.

We have ruggedly handsome Logan who is Scottish through and through. He is trying to keep the business afloat virtually single-handedly. He is in his element when he is talking to people on his trips and imparting his knowledge of his beautiful country

Unbeknownst to him his father organises for Addie help him to find ways to save the company. He is not best pleased and he fights her at every turn. Once he calms down and can see things clearly they come to an agreement. But, is it the final plan?

Over time once the frostiness starts to thaw there is another level and depth to their characters as Logan helps her to see and discover some of her Scottish heritage. They is no doubt they have chemistry but Logan wants to get to know her. Addie is like a closed book. Running away is what she does best.

With Logan in Scotland and Addie all over globe is there a possibility of romance? How can it ever work when she keeps everything close to her chest…

There are some light and funny moments as well as heartbreak 💔 on display. I particularly liked the epilogue
