London is under attack.
People are dead. Many more lives hang in the balance as a group of highly trained gunmen storm the historic Stanhope Hotel on Park Lane.
The gunmen have given the government just five hours to meet their demands before they blow up the building.
Shots ring out. Some guests panic. Others text their loved ones. Still more try to escape. All are united by one thing: fear for their lives. All - except one man who has information so dangerous that it must be kept safe - at any price.
Darkness falls. The gunmen become increasingly violent. One question is in everybody's minds.
Will they survive the night?
I had never come across this author before but took a gamble. I have to say that I thought that the story and the way it was read was excellent. Every chapter left me wanting more and for a few days it took over my life ( I actually found reasons to do paperwork at my desk, a task I usually hate) . My problem now is that I see more books by the same chap are available which I will be buying... How can I find more paperwork to do and not make my boss suspicious ?
Fast paced and gripping...
I enjoyed this story. You never really knew what was going to happen. Nice to have some flawed heroes too.
Kernick does it again
Fantastic book in the Simon kernick saga. Great read with thrilling, exhilarating storyline and charactersto match. Put it down if you can but before you know it, you are 20 chapters through and rapidly losing your day!
