Superb

Simon Kernick writes fast paced gripping crime thrillers. The great thing is although his books are not a series the same brilliant characters crop up over all the books. You get to know and like them and care what happens to them. This book is a real roller coaster ride and I loved it. Gritty and a real page turner. The geezers a genius.

Dreadful sports commentator narration

The book itself is good, but the narration is diabolical. As the drama increases the narration speed increases the pitch of voice gets higher – it really is like listening to horseracing on BBC one.!! Absolutely ruined the audiobook for me. Couldn’t bear it. Deleted after I am dude 30 minutes. Actually disappointing. This guy is no Robert Glenister that’s for sure!
