The family upstairs

Was slow to get into but that might have been because it was my first audiobook. Really enjoyed the story line. Would recommend!

Brilliant & different

Would highly recommend... completely addictive, imaginative story not following the usual boring predictable storylines. Loved the different readers with captivating voices. Not a bad word to say just sad it finished!

*The Secrets Between Them*

**4.5 Stars**

The psychological drama continues it starts with the recovery of bones in the river Thames. From reading book one we already know who they belong to. This story is predominantly told in the present from a few points of view. The detective in charge of the case Dci Samuel Owusu is trying to untangle the web that all points to the large house in Chelsea that in the past was home to a whole horror of things happening behind closed doors.

Henry is obsessed with a previous member of the house who disappeared and such is his obsession he virtually changes his appearance to look like him. He races off to Chicago on the hunt to find him. He tells no one and his sister Lucy gets wind of his whereabouts and a sense of dread envelops her so she decides to go to Chicago with her kids. Both Henry and Lucy have skeletons in their closets and there is one secret Lucy is hiding and someone out there witnesses this secret.

Back in the U.K. another woman with something in common with Lucy is trying to find her is she friend or foe?

There is so much more to say but I do not want to give anything away. Will this family ever keep their secrets and will they ever feel settled?

A very fitting sequel that kept me gripped…..
