Only his memories can save her…
A great primal power has risen. The Queen of Flesh and Fire has become the Primal of Blood and Bone—the true Primal of Life and Death. And the battle Casteel, Poppy, and their allies have been fighting has only just begun. Gods are awakening across Iliseeum and the mortal realm, readying for the war to come.
But when Poppy falls into stasis, Cas faces the very real possibility that the dire, unexpected consequences of what she is becoming could take her away from him. Cas is given some advice, though—something he plans to cling to as he waits to see her beautiful eyes open once more: Talk to her.
And so, he does. He reminds Poppy how their journey began, revealing things about himself that only Kieran knows in the process. But it’s anybody’s guess what she’ll wake to or exactly how much of the realm and Cas will have changed when she does.
#1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout revisits Poppy and Casteel’s epic love story in the next installment of the Blood and Ash series. But this time, Hawke gets to tell the tale.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We felt ignited by this steamy romantic fantasy adventure. Royal Atlantian Casteel Da’Neer lustily recounts how he met and became smitten with the love of his life, Poppy, as she lies unconscious during a spiritual transformation. Jennifer L. Armentrout’s captivating novel explores a wealth of passion and desire through Cas’ eyes as he recaps the events of the Blood and Ash series—full of brutal war, powerful gods, and unbridled lust. Seeing this all through Cas’ point of view offers a thrilling new side to these books—and if you’re a newcomer to them, even better. We nearly melted as we read Cas describing every intimate and seductive detail of his passionate feelings for the chosen one, including his innermost fantasies. Everything in A Soul of Ash and Blood will make your heart race.

Brilliant
Brilliant book! Can’t wait for the next one
Basically first book again
Lazy, awful writing. Absolutely no point to this book it does nothing to move the plot along, a retelling of the first book almost exactly, skipped bits because it felt copied and pasted from the first book. An utter failure and disappointment not sure I will even bother if she does write a final conclusion to this series.
Filler book
I love this series and was so excited for this book to come out but reading it I feel (and like most other people who’ve left reviews) that this is just a filler book to get money. I don’t want to read everything again that I basically already know and I feel like I’ve completely wasted my money.
It’s made me change my views on the author a little as clearly with this, like with everything in life now, it’s driven by how much money you can get out of something. Disappointed.
