Publisher Description
Recently engaged and moving forward, Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis are enjoying a bit of downtime with friends and family. But anyone in their line of work knows that sitting idle never lasts long.
When Reese’s brother, Z, asks for their assistance in finding a man who skipped bail and is now on the run from the law, as well as a few unsavory characters, the pair find themselves on a mission that’s a little outside of Reese’s comfort zone. No, make that way outside his comfort zone when he learns that the man they’re looking for is one of his mother’s former lovers.
As is usually the case, nothing is as it seems, and Brantley, Reese, and the rest of the Off the Books Task Force find themselves mixed up with the mob as they try to uncover the truth.

Happier times!
This book is like a warm snuggly hug. It’s the book we’ve been waiting for after the last couple of traumatic reads in this series. Relationships are blooming, couples are getting on and moving forward with their lives and everyone seems to actually be communicating in a healthy way.
Reece and Brantley are in a really good place. There are still conversations that need to be had as Reece carries a lot of guilt about his actions but the love and acceptance he shows to Brantley is beautiful. No more living in shadows for these two.
The job their working on is lighter than some that have come before and brings some humour into the book. We’ve got some older characters popping up and Reece’s family spend abit of time on the pages. I really enjoy getting to know some of the other members of the team. They all add another dimension to the story and I like that it doesn’t distract too much away from our main couple.
The steam factor is high in this book so you will not be disappointed on that front. Lots of deeper, swoony moments from two of my favourite men and it really showcases how deep and meaningful their love for each other goes.
This is definitely a story I will read again, probably before the next instalment arrives as it’s that good.
I highly recommend as always so do not hesitate in one clicking this book.
