Lovable characters, many story strands and great fun. Best of all, the writing is damned good. Evie makes this tricky genre look easy and you run right along with her to the joyful finale.

Evie is one of the best authors I know for giving you all the laughs and what better way to get it than through a pantomime.
Leo (MMC) and Ella (FMC) have been the best of friends since a very young age and even though it appears that their families are of a different class, their bond has only grown with time.
After recently being dumped by her partner, Ella has been made homeless so Leo offers her a room at his (Foxbrooke Manor) where Ella has always been made to feel welcome. Due to some events happening, they both end up playing the lead characters in Foxbrooke’s pantomime and so the next part of their story begins.
Evie always gives us amazing characters and this book is no exception, I love the way that the characters story mirrors the pantomime, with Ella’s family being quite horrible to her and then on the other side we have Leo’s family who love Ella as their own and are so welcoming of her.
If you are familiar with Evie’s work you will know that she is a master of the Romantic Comedy and this book gives us it all, with Arthur (Duke of Somerset) playing none other than one of the ugly sisters along with Steve playing the other. They both give us laugh out loud moments and at times you will be laughing so hard you cry it’s hilarious!
As this is the fifth book in the series I advise that you read the others, even though it can be read as a standalone.
