Enjoy this laugh-out-loud, steamy romance series from multi-award-winning romantic comedy author Evie Alexander…
She's got a plan. He's got abs and a giant… ego.
Lady Estelle Foxbrooke is done cleaning up the mess left by her wild parents. Her goal? Save the family estate, her way. The problem? James Hunter-Savage. Her twin brother's nemesis and her very unwanted new business partner.
James was living the dream in London until his career crashed and burned. Now he's back in the countryside, licking his wounds and stuck working with Estelle – the sharp-witted, maddeningly gorgeous woman who seems to enjoy making his life hell.
But when their fiery clashes spark something steamier, suddenly the estate isn't the only thing on the line. With tempers flaring, passions blazing, and the biggest event of the year teetering on the brink of disaster, can James and Estelle put their differences aside long enough to save the day?
The Upper Crush is a riotously funny, super-spicy, standalone romcom – perfect for fans of Pippa Grant, Lauren Blakely, Rosa Lucas, Annika Martin, Kayley Loring, and Lucy Score! If sparkling banter, sizzling tension, and happily-ever-afters are your thing, saddle up – you're in for a wild ride!

Such a hilariously great read!
Evie Alexander has written another corker of a story!
Leading up to this book, I know I was supposed to not like James but as soon as I started reading The Upper Crush, I really felt for him, so much so, I found I really really liked him. Naturally I was curious to see how the pairing with Estelle would go down.
Both our main characters have something to prove and the journey to getting this festival up and running is both hilarious, heart breaking and beautifully passionate! ♥
There's more I want to say but in my excitement, I may reveal something that you should discover whilst reading yourself but I promise you, you will love reading this book.
Also this is best read after you have read 1 and 2 just for continuity of understanding just how much of a big 'issue' James Hunter-Savage is in Foxbrooke!
Romcom Gold
Enemy to lovers Estelle Foxbrooke and James Hunter Savage have a long history of loathing. She takes the reins of her family’s estate ,even if it means going to bed in business with her twin brother’s worst enemy . James has seen his London business crash and burn and has gone home to Somerset, tail between his legs and living with his parents while being forced to work with the infuriating Ms Foxbrooke. There’s chemistry between them and plenty of passion . Slow burn , raw emotion and banter bordering on spicy flirtation to get the pulses racing through witticisms and charm theyre soon in each other’s arms and it’s phew it’s a hot head of steamy reading pleasure. Unputdownable fun storytelling synonymous with Evie Alexander’s penmanship, perfect prose , on the nose descriptors and characters that are relatable with depth . A compelling story I could read again and again. I read an advance copy of this book and I’m leaving a voluntary review in my own words.
A brilliant, funny, enemies to lovers rom com
I have read all of Evie’s books and I have to say, this is my favourite. There, that feels a bit of a bold statement given that I have enjoyed all of her books but I’m sticking with it.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book at first. Solely because I was not a fan of the MMC James when we met him in other books and I was on the side of Evie’s husband and thought he should have been run over by a combine harvester! So there was an uphill battle to climb regarding James but I already loved Estelle, she’s a strong, badass, businesswoman who can also wield a bow and arrow on horseback.
With the exception of having preconceived ideas of the MMC, this book had lots of things I enjoy in a book; Evie’s writing style and humour, dogs, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, fake dating, steamy scenes and swoony acts of service and (my love language) gifts.
This book had me laughing and swooning. I was shamelessly messaging Evie with all of my excitable comments as I read it because nobody would get a simple “the slippers!” Or other spoilery comments I won’t share.
Essentially, I bloody loved it. Evie swept me off my feet and forced me to do a complete 180 and be glad that combine never found James. This book goes a bit deeper than Evie’s other books but it was additive to a fun read with lots of heart.
