Publisher Description
Secrets, desires, and exquisite pie. It’s all in a day’s work at The Company.
Growing up, I was the rough guy from the wrong neighborhood who couldn’t catch a break. Posy was the pampered girl I tried to impress. But I managed to steal only a single kiss before I had to skip town.
Now I’m back, and the tables are turned. Posy runs a struggling pie shop. I’m the VP of a secretive billion dollar security company.
Not that I can tell her.
There’s a murderer on the loose in New York, and he seems to spend a lot of time at Posy’s shop. I can’t let on that I’m here to bring him down before he can harm a hair on her pretty head.
Going undercover as Posy’s new barista wasn’t my idea. I don’t even drink coffee. But now I have to call her “boss,” and do everything the curvy perfectionist asks of me. I’d forgotten how much we infuriate each other, and that she somehow fills me with both irritation and desire in the same breath.
There’s nobody more skilled at stealth ops than me. I can bring this killer down. Right after I take a cold shower. And just as soon as I figure out how to make a skinny peppermint latte with milk poured in the shape of a kitten...

Sexy romantic drama - I loved it
Going into this book, I had no background knowledge of the story, the genre, or the characters, I didn’t even read the synopsis! It was written by Sarina Bowen, so that was good enough for me. A second chance romance of sorts, with a little suspense/drama, and a lot of laughs, I mean loads of laughs. Gunnar Scott, he was so, so funny, I giggled my way through him learning to make coffee so that he could insert himself into Posy Payton’s life. He fluked his way into becoming one of her best baristas so he could stake out in her Pie Shop. He’s undercover trying to find a murderer, but adorable, sweet, sexy Posy is messing with his mojo. He needs to keep his head in the game and concentrate on finding the bad guy. I loved his imperfections, as good of a spy that he was, he still made mistakes, that only made me love him more. Posy though, has got her own problems, her ex and his new girlfriend are messing with her head and interfering with her life. Lots of drama, some wonderful friendships, add in a little sexy time, a few unexpected twists and turns, and I was addicted. It had everything. I loved it, which was why I also listened to the audio version, and yes the story definitely lends itself to audio. Joe Arden is perfectly hilarious as Gunnar, and Vanessa Edwin was the perfect Posy. Definitely one of my favourite audios for a long while. Perfect story, perfect writing, perfect characters and perfect narration. I didn’t want the story to end. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
