An ordinary day for the trilby wearing soon-to-be-sleuth is turned on its head when a police officer arrives at her library with shocking news. Her best friend Evie Bowes is under suspicion of murdering her boyfriend—found with a pen through his heart. Kitt holds resolute that Evie loved Owen and would never commit such a gruesome murder, so launches her own investigation with the help of her assistant, Grace. Kitt soon discovers that the grisly truth may lie somewhere down the quaint, secret-laden streets of York, and that keeping herself safe might be her greatest challenge.

Agatha Christie writing for Mills & Boon
Easy reading murder mystery with a late twist resolving the plot. Ending somewhat questionable and the romantic angle is the weakest part of the story. Entertaining and undemanding.
Just great
Perfect read for someone that doesn’t need anything crazy horror-like or is busy with life.
