Another Ryder finds love
We first meet Jake and Addy at the wedding of Duke and Gabriella, which also gives us the chance to catch up the Ryders.
Having been a player in the past, Jake falls hard and fast for Addy, however she is a strong, independant lady who does not want a relationship and has built some rather large walls around her heart. After their connection at the wedding, Jake is keen to see where their relationship goes, but Addy is set to head off on a 10 day solo trip up a mountian to find herself, only she discovers she has a rather piece missing from her kit list.
As ususal, Melissa has written a beautiful story, which has you completely engrossed from the first page to the last. I was eagerly waiting for this book and wasn’t disappointed.
Having read the book, I have now listened to the audio version narrated by B J Harrison. I loved it. Having recently started to listening to audio books, and I cannot recommend them enough. They allow you to enjoy your favourite book when you can’t stop and read.

Rescued by Love is a fun, sassy, contemporary romance between a sweet, protective guy and a feisty, independent woman with a sizzling attraction. The book is a fast paced read, set over a couple of days, but has everything from light hearted banter to smoking hot sexy scenes.
Jake and Addison (aka Addy), who tell the book through dual perspective, have an incredible chemistry from the start. However, I will be honest and admit that at first I was a little confused and felt like I was missing something about this couple, possibly because despite this being book 4 in an interconnecting series it’s my first read of the series. It didn’t last long with it quickly becoming clear that Jake and Addy’s attraction had steadily been developing over time which helped explain how and why things developed so quickly when they finally gave into their attraction. The scenes between the couple were intense yet sweet as these two opposites figured out how to mix a feisty independent woman with a protective sweet man. One thing I really did like was Addy’s time alone and reflection because it felt very real and raw but also very true to her core character.
Rescued by Love is well written with the perfect mix of tension and emotion, something you can always expect from a Melissa Foster book. The book is steadily paced, despite taking place over a relatively short period of time, allowing good development of the two characters and their relationship. Some of the steamy scenes were more creative than usual which is always fun to read. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone (especially once you get into the book), although, for those who are following the series, I’m sure it is fun catching up with previous characters.
I would definitely recommend this book and will be reading more of this series.
