Publisher Description
Imperium Secundus lies revealed as a heretical folly. Terra has not fallen, though it remains inaccessible. Sanguinius, Guilliman and the Lion El’Johnson, the primarchs of the Triumvirate, must reach Terra at all costs. They seek to defend the Emperor, and to atone for their sins. But the Ruinstorm, a galaxy-wide maelstrom of chaos, hides the Throneworld from the primarchs. Now the fleets of three Legions depart Macragge, and the primarchs will stop at nothing to overcome the Ruinstorm. Yet an insidious enemy watches their every move, and plots against the weaknesses of the errant sons of the Emperor. Each has his own inner storm, linkand each marches towards his own ruin.
Read it Because
It's an explosive end to the Imperium Secundus storyline and sees the march to Terra and that final battle begin in earnest.

Don’t believe the negative reviews
Actually pretty good. Seen a lot of negative reviews and moaning about this book. But generally it’s a good story, brings the Imperium Secundus plot line to a good end and sets up the advancing of the main plot nicely.
Plus there’s 4 Primarchs in it.
Great
Brilliant book
Filler novel
I have been a huge fan of the heresy series since it’s inception and accept there have been some fantastic stories and some poor ones.
This however, to me, is a poor attempt at a Heresy novel. It’s fragmented and quite frankly wildly erratic story is based almost entirely as one of a psychological horror more than anything else. It answers less questions than it asks, and although it contains some hero characters fails fundamentally to progress them in a manner that is enjoyable to read.
Certainly felt like a hard slog to read rather than a pleasure.
