Publisher Description
The members of the Off the Books Task Force are nearing their first anniversary, and while they’ve closed several cases, it hasn’t been easy. Despite the governor disbanding the team, they are thriving under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security. Now that they work in the private sector, new tasks must be tackled, like bringing on new members.
Even as they work to broaden their reach, there are still cases to be worked. When a partner in an investment firm goes missing, Governor Greenwood reaches out for their assistance. The team uses their combined skills to unravel the mystery surrounding his disappearance.
Not only do secrets emerge where the case is concerned, but many more are also brought to light within the team.

Another corker!
Well, this book is almost as heartbreaking as the last one. Was kinda hoping this one was going to be abit lighter but alas Nicole decided she’s not going easy on us! I’ve decided I’m not worried as I think everything is resolvable with an honest conversation although the theme of this book seems to be the avoidance of that!
The case I saw through immediately so wasn’t surprised by how it unfolded. Loved the introduction to all the new members of the task force, was good to see a little of each of their personalities. I really enjoy how Nicole gives us enough of each semi main character. I think there’s definitely more turmoil for Baz and cannot wait for more of Trey and Magnus.
Brantley and Reese are one of my favourite couples in this world and I hope for happy future for them both. They have so much to offer each other and I think if they can really open up then their future is solid.
