Publisher Description
The Off the Books Task Force is nearing its one-year anniversary.
While they’ve successfully closed multiple cases, it hasn’t been easy. Even after the governor dissolved the team, they are finding their new home under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security. As with everything, the private sector has new challenges for them to tackle, such as expanding the team.
Even as they work to broaden their reach, there are still cases to be worked. When a partner at an investment firm goes missing, Governor Greenwood reaches out for their assistance. Putting aside their grudges, the team uses their combined skills to unravel the mystery.
Not only do secrets emerge where the case is concerned, many more are brought to light within the team itself.

Another corker!
Well, this book is almost as heartbreaking as the last one. Was kinda hoping this one was going to be abit lighter but alas Nicole decided she’s not going easy on us! I’ve decided I’m not worried as I think everything is resolvable with an honest conversation although the theme of this book seems to be the avoidance of that!
The case I saw through immediately so wasn’t surprised by how it unfolded. Loved the introduction to all the new members of the task force, was good to see a little of each of their personalities. I really enjoy how Nicole gives us enough of each semi main character. I think there’s definitely more turmoil for Baz and cannot wait for more of Trey and Magnus.
Brantley and Reese are one of my favourite couples in this world and I hope for happy future for them both. They have so much to offer each other and I think if they can really open up then their future is solid.
