Publisher Description

Here’s what I know about Shiloh Jenson:
She is up to no good.
Every word out of her mouth is a lie.
And I'm madly in love with her.

The call of the sea had always been deafening for Mitchell Tate, which is why Kaimte, a small coastal town in West Africa, was the perfect place for him.
Brilliant surf conditions conjured up by the South Atlantic Ocean was the drawcard, and the laid-back lifestyle suited him to a T.
But even paradise has a dark side.
When fellow Australian Shiloh Jenson arrives in town, his eyes are opened to a much seedier side of village life.
Shiloh has a hidden agenda, and whether he likes it or not, Mitchell is along for the ride.

Magical, mysterious and magnificent.

Shiloh

5 magical stars

The anticipation for this book was rife, did it disappoint? Absolutely not. To say I enjoyed this book is an understatement. As with all of the other books in the Wishes Series I was sucked in from the first page. In true GJ Walker-Smith style this book is magic, and once again the author has described in vivid detail the scenery so beautifully it felt like I was there.
Mitchell Tate the carefree surfer always had me intrigued and and I'm so happy he got his own book. Shiloh is strong, fearless, sassy and quick witted, a perfect partnership.
This book is clever and engaging, and never in a million years would I have guessed the diamond thief, so sneaky. I love how the book made me reminisce about earlier stories in the series, and how my favourite book couple ever (Adam and Charli) made an appearance.

To sum it up Shiloh is another magnificent book from the very talented GJ Walker-Smith. I won't tire of The Wishes Series or the crazy and wonderful characters, and I truly hope there is more to come.

Just Wonderful

A must for any Saving Wishes fans, and for any one who's not read any of GJ Walker-Smith's books yet "what are you doing with your life?" I think this is the first time I've cried because I've finished a book, and I did cry, I was not ready for Mitchell's story to end. A wonderful mix of romance, humour, intrigue and shock. Yes I was shocked! Didn't see the twist. Lovely story that also taught me a little about African beliefs and traditions, very quirky. Mitchell might well be my number one perfect book boyfriend, hell, who am I kidding, he is my number one perfect boyfriend, full stop! Loved that we got to catch up with Adam and Charlie, a lovely touch from GJ Walker-Smith. If I could I give a book 10 stars, I'd give them all to Shiloh. I loved falling in love with Mitchell 💕

Something different, something wonderful

GJ Walker-Smith is a favourite contemporary author of mine and her latest book Shiloh is a bit of a departure from the Wishes series style. It's characters are more mature, the plot has suspense, it's a tad hotter than her previous books but it keeps all the elements that I rely on in a Walker-Smith book. The humour is en pointe, the writing flows beautifully and the characters have depth. I didn't just like it, I loved it.

Remember Mitchell, Charli's surfing buddy? Yeah, he's still catching waves and living in one of the beach huts in Africa. He has matured though. Fate throws Shiloh and Mitchell, these two Aussies together in Kiamte but the nature of Shiloh's work means she's living a lie. As their friendship grows, the lies become walls.

This book has vivid description that paints the scenes perfectly, many 'snicker' moments, but the things I love most about GJ Walker-Smith's writing are the poignant, punch-packing lines. I drew in breath over quite a number of them, reveled in the 'feels' and whilst it made me laugh numerous times, it also gave me heart ache.

"At that point I was only certain of one thing: I was going to get my heart broken, and because I could see it coming, it was my fault, not hers."

This book filled a missing bit that I've wanted ever since Mitchell was introduced in Saving Wishes and more so in Second Hearts. He's a wonderful main character and he stands equally alongside these great men that GJ writes. I know that Mitchell is physically attractive but its his soul I'm magnetised to. Shiloh is a strong, interesting woman, courageous but with hidden vulnerabilities that make her so believable. I want to be 'kick-a**e' like Shiloh one day too.

This book can be read as a stand alone. There are a small number of references to past wishes series characters, however, if you've not read them, it won't leave you mystified.

This was a superb read and it reminds me that good quality literature isn't everyday, this one sparkles like the diamonds discussed within it's pages.
