The best books make you see differently. This is one of them. The eye-opening new novel from Jodi Picoult, with the biggest of themes: birth, death, and responsibility.

When a newborn baby dies after a routine hospital procedure, there is no doubt about who will be held responsible: the nurse who had been banned from looking after him by his father.

What the nurse, her lawyer and the father of the child cannot know is how this death will irrevocably change all of their lives, in ways both expected and not.

Small Great Things is about prejudice and power; it is about that which divides and unites us.

It is about opening your eyes.

Couldn't put it down

This is one of the best books I have read in years. Powerful, beautiful and insightful . Jodie writes about racism in this modern age with honesty wrapped up in a gripping storyline. This book is thought provoking and challenging, I can't think of anyone who would not enjoy reading it.
My only complaint is that the book ended.

Amazing read

Couldn't put this down! Have recommended to all. The way Jodie writes is so fluid and easily hooks you in to the story so you become so invested in the characters.

An amazing message, highly recommended

I absolutely loved this book. I would definitely everyone regardless of skin colour to read it. This is the type of awareness we need, it’s very captivating yet not entirely fiction. I don’t think there’s anything in there to be offended about and I love how the message it carries is so strong yet subtly conveyed.
