This is what happens to Lexi and Zeke in the new romantic comedy by Beth O’Leary, author of The Flatshare and The Wake-Up Call. The couple endure a morning after of nightmarish proportions: Following a night of passion on a houseboat, they wake up to find their vessel drifting in open water. Will being thrown together in this crisis be a recipe for love—or disaster? A strikingly original premise coupled with well-drawn, relatable characters, and a sense of jeopardy to keep the reader on their toes, make this a must-read for romcom fans.

Terrifying book with romance
Lowkey was horrifying for 90% of it so goodluck. My phobia is being in the middle of the ocean.
Wonderful
I’m becoming Beths biggest fan. I’ve binged read all her books back to back. Starting with the No show and falling deeply in love with the characters, I’ve then read everything of hers since. Swept away was a delight. She creates such beautiful intimate entanglements of humans getting to know each other. The love stories send my heart a flutter in a wistful dream.
I’ve never read with such a smile on my face while simultaneously having flashes of anxiety as their situation at sea continues. Brilliantly constructed tale and plot twists.
Last on my list now is the Switch! Im sure I’ll be back with a similarly delighted review of however that story unfolds.
