Another enthralling romance from New York Times bestselling author Lauren Royal and her daughter, featuring their “outrageously funny, loyal, and endearing” Chase family!
The last of three sisters to marry, Lady Rose Ashcroft is determined to land a wealthy, titled husband—a marquess perhaps, or even a duke. Having had her heart broken in the past, she’s decided the key to enticing a man lies in hiding her intelligence and academic interests while flaunting her more feminine qualities. Matchmaking mother in tow and strategy firmly in place, Rose heads off to Charles II's court to find love...
And runs smack dab into Christopher “Kit” Martyn, the one man who could ruin all her plans. Kit is a dashing, successful commoner with his sights set on landing the post of official Royal Architect—and he’s the only man Rose feels she can honestly talk to about anything. Kit knows the true Rose, and he wants her, but she thinks of him as a family friend. Can he convince her that a title is unimportant compared to the love he knows they’re destined to share?

Another Fabulous Story
The last Ashcroft sister, Lady Rose is despondent at her younger sister's wedding. Whereas neither of her sisters had been concerned about getting married it is all Rose has thought about for years. Now both of them are married and Rose, at nineteen, is getting desperate!
'As the years crawled by without a husband on the horizon, she was getting less picky. Most any man would be acceptable to her now. So long as he was handsome, titled, rich and powerful.'
Rose's mother, Lady Chrystabel Trentingham, is a noted matchmaker but her daughters have always vowed to find their own husbands and unusually for the times, their parents have agreed that such a decision is theirs alone. That doesn't mean though that Rose isn't overjoyed when her mother offers to take her to Court. Rose is convinced that it is just as easy to fall in love with a rich titled man as a commoner and King Charles' Court is just the place to find such a man. However, she is unaware that her mother has decided that her perfect match is a plain Mister. I loved this story, just as much as Violet's and Lily's and Chrystabel's stratagems were amusing, particularly when she resorted to ghostly noises! Great story, thoroughly recommended.
