Publisher Description
Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis are diving into their very first case as a task force, and it’s close to home.
The Off the Books task force is eager to tackle the case of a fifteen-year-old girl who mysteriously went missing nine years ago in their hometown of Coyote Ridge, Texas. Though it seems she disappeared without a trace, they soon stumble upon unsettling clues that lead back to someone once trusted by the town.
As Brantley and Reese work to bring closure to the girl’s family, they’re also navigating a challenging journey of their own. While they embrace their new careers, they are also exploring uncharted waters in their relationship.

Love these two
So, I read this in one day, it's that good!
The team is taking on its second case and it's another one close to home. I like the connection to the town and its residents, feels much more personal.
Brantley and Reese are in the beginning stages of their relationship, it's not plain sailing but I think you have to expect that. Reese has got a lot to work through and it's not an easy process. Brantley has the strength to carry him through it but Reese has to be ready to fully commit himself. I really loved their interactions. They felt very real and genuine. Brantley strength gives Reese the space he needs to work through his emotions. The underlying love and passion they have for each other unfolds beautifully and their intimate scenes are powerful.
JJ is a strong presence throughout the story, she's a strong character and brings a lot to the story. Im excited see where her story goes and I'm rooting for her to get some happiness. Looking forward to more Baz.
Such a good book and I'm loving this series.
