Vampire in the City

I'm Detective Lucien Kane, and I've got an interesting nose for the supernatural.

I'm a vampire—I can smell a beast or human, a mile away.

So, I should have smelled Quinn Hastings when she barged into my life uninvited and demand that I help her find her sister.

I might've been up for it had Miss Hastings not tried to off me the night before. Except her high heels and long legs can be very convincing, and I grudgingly agree to help. 

When Quinn and I find a letter from her sister's lover I realize it's linked to another case. My nose for trouble tells me we have limited time before her sister ends up a meal for a mortal enemy.

There's more than one life in the balance, and this case has the smell of death all over it.
