Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. on 17th January 1942. Ali went on to become one of the world’s greatest boxing legends, winning the title ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’ a record three times. 


He partook in some of the most famous fights of the last century, including ‘The Fight of the Century’, ‘The Rumble in the Jungle’ and ‘The Thrila in Manila’. Ali has only been beaten five times and has knocked out thirty six of his opponents. However, not only has he become world famous for his boxing, but he became a fighting force for black rights in America.
