Going on a cruise should be a break from murder and mystery, but for Amy and Ambrose, that's not the case.
Despite going away to celebrate Amy's birthday, the duo quickly find themselves involved in a mystery onboard when a fellow passenger turns up dead.
With limited resources, and needing the cooperation of the crew, their work is cut out for them if they don't want the killer to escape the moment they dock.
Can they unravel the mystery in time?

An original case and an original way to solve it
From the moment we realize that our characters are going on holiday we already know that their holiday will not be without a murder case. These characters seem to attract murder, but luckily it's quite clear that they actually kinda like being involved in solving cases. The humor does get a little morbid at times, but I know from experience that if dead is your work, your perspective on it changes.
I really liked the murder case in this book. It's not too complicated, but since the characters are stuck on a cruise ship they have to solve the case in a slightly different way. They don't have all their equipment, they don't have all the materials and therefore they have to try different routes to make sure the murderer doesn't escape. And that gave this book a unique feel compared to the others.
I also like how the authors constantly come up with cases with a different kind of vibe. I don't wanna give too much away of course, but in some cases there is a clear line between good and bad. But there are also cases where the lines are slightly blurred. I like how this series really shows all kinds of different crimes. I can't wait to discover what's waiting for us in the next book.
