They hope to reconnect during a weekend away in Scotland, but not long after arriving at their unexpectedly creepy and old accommodations, the pair begin to realize how little they truly know about one another. Alice Feeney’s plotting kept us guessing from beginning to end. As she jumps from one character to another and shifts from past to present, there’s an onslaught of shocking revelations we won’t spill here. Stephanie Racine and Richard Armitage’s narration matches the material perfectly, with her sweetly expressive tone contrasting with his dark, gruff delivery. Interesting with a Twist; Not what I was looking for
This book is a slow burn to me. I was interested in more of a thriller mystery, and this book is more like a haunted love story with lots of drama. The author did a wonderful job and I was never able to guess the outcome, which is always amazing. It just wasn’t my favorite style of action.
Ok story, but slow.
Slowwww…third act doesn’t quite make up for it. Ok story.
